How to download Lloyds bank statements as CSV or Excel

Updated 4 November 2026 · Rowclean

Lloyds documents a CSV export for business accounts only. Personal customers can always download a PDF statement, going back at least ten years in the app. Here is each route.

Business accounts: export as CSV or QIF

  1. In Online for Business, choose View statement next to your account.
  2. Go to Statement options.
  3. Choose Export transactions, then CSV or QIF.

Lloyds says business transaction search goes back up to 12 months.

Personal accounts: download the statement

Lloyds' personal banking pages say you can download statements "into a spreadsheet, or financial software package", but don't name a file format. An older accountant's guide reports a limit of about 150 transactions or 90 days per export. We couldn't confirm that with Lloyds, so check it on your own account.

Turning a Lloyds PDF into CSV

If a statement is only available as a PDF, check any conversion the same way: previous balance + money in − money out should equal each printed balance. Rowclean does that check for you and keeps the type code in the description, so you can still filter on it.

Only have the PDF statement?

Rowclean turns it into a CSV in your browser (nothing is uploaded), shows every row with its page and line, and checks the running balance to the penny before you pay. £3 for your first statement, then 99p each, with no signup.

Questions

Can I download a Lloyds statement as CSV on a personal account?

Lloyds doesn't document it. Its CSV and QIF instructions are for Online for Business. Personal pages mention spreadsheets without naming a format.

Does FreeAgent accept Lloyds CSV files?

Lloyds isn't on FreeAgent's list of banks whose CSV it takes directly, so the file may need reformatting first. See the FreeAgent layout, or Xero, QuickBooks and Sage.
